WEEK TEN

 

'Time and tide waits for none'.   We are at the end of our course. Hope we will have more time so that we can learn more. But it is true time waits for no one.

 At the beginning of the course I was sure that I couldn't complete this course but thanks for Donna for her great support and help.  This course for me is very interesting and useful. I learned to prepare ABCD objectives,  effective web searching, skill-building websites, bookmarking, technology-enhanced lesson plans, PBL, webquests, rubrics, student-centred classes, interactive PPts, learner autonomy, one-computer classroom, mobile learning, teacher online resources, peer reviewing, MI and LS at last.  Due to limited time and some other problems i couldn't use all the tools but i tried to implement blog, power point and nicenet class. Among them i found power point easy to use as we have projector at school. I have opened my nicenet class, i will use from the beginning of the season for my new students and blog also. Thank you Donna, friends and all web skill team for help and support .Thanks

WEEK NINE

It is really hard to believe that our tanning is about to finish. Till last week i used to think when this will be complete so that i can sleep at night as i mostly wake up at mid night and do my study because we have electricity at midnight. But now i am feeling sad as i will miss nicenet discussions ,reading blog etc. We have not talked and meet but i felt like we are like a family and Donna is our guardian.

This week i  explored articles about learning styles and multiple intelligence. After reading this i felt it is time to change our old teacher centered teaching style and use new technology to motivate the students and create their interest in it. And for that i should start first. I completed my project task. It may not be as good as my friends but i tried my best to do the best. My peer Hala has done good project. I read blog post of all the friends they are also feeling sad. Hope all of us will get another chance to share our views and to learn new things in other course. Thanks.

WEEK EIGHT

Every week is tough for me. This week also i tried to complete all assignment given by Donna but i have to submit the midterm marks first so i did copy checking first. 

At first i tried all the suggested sites. I  have created nicenet class for my students i like it a must and from the beginning of this course i was thinking how this class is possible now i have my own so i am really glad. I read my partner Hala's project draft and i found she has done different than me. For sometime i was confused she is correct or me? any way i did my own style. I have done the checklist for her. I felt difficult to understand her work. What i know i did it. I think she is busy so she will post mine later.

WEEK SEVEN

This week also is an opportunity for me to learn new things.  There were two topics to learn both the topics are useful but i choose one computer classroom and mobile device. I learned most of the suggested websites and i found it really helpful for teaching the students. I learned different strategies and applications for one computer classroom. I opened the class padlet and added my posts.

     This week we had midterm test so i couldn't do my teaching. Donna had peered up Hala and me for this week task i am happy to work with her but i has not got reply from her. hope she will reply soon. Thanks Donna.

WEEK SIX

 Every week is new and challenging for me. This week I learned the differences between Interactive Power Point and Standard PowerPoint. We are using power point for presentation but Interactive PowerPoint is used for navigation and feedback. It helps to increase engagement, control, and interest along with immediate response within teacher and students. I read post of all friends after reading their views I became clearer about the topic. 

After reading the task I tried my first Power Point. In this I have tried to make my students to write a paragraph on our country Nepal. Now in my school I am teaching my students how to write a paragraph. So, I used this Power Point they are really excited and happy. I think this helped my friends who read my Power Point to know about my country. I will use all the modern method and create an interesting Power Point in future.

Week Five

       Every week is new and encouraging to me. This week there are less learning portion. I found a good solution of making students to do projects by learning themselves.WebQuests is a helpful tool to make the class activities motivating and interesting. I like its six basic components, I think if the student does the project or the given task according to these components, they will learn by themselves and their learning will last for long term. 

    I did my first rubric.I found this system really interesting and authentic. The students will be judged from different aspect and they can get a chance to know about their progress in each task. It saves time of the teacher.Next i was having problem with my students about projects but now i got Webquest a helpful tool to solve my problem. thanks
